ALL'S FAIR in VIETNAM (Asean)
My opinion on the story of 'All's Fair in
Vietnam' is that we should be thankful for the beauty that God has bestowed on
us. Beauty is a gift from God and we need to take care of it. Maybe some people are
not fortunate to have such sensitive skin. They needs proper skin care and effective.
But no need to spent a lot of money to make such treatment. Just let a treatment in
accordance with the budget we have.
Therefore, do not be too obsessed with the
beauty that belongs to someone else. Accept what it is who we are. Maybe other
people have their own beauty and we have our own beauty. Because we want a beautiful face
and white skin, we use the various of beauty products. It will make our skin look old and deathly ill more than anything else. This is because our skin as a
consequence of not being able to resist the chemicals found in the products that we use.
Namely that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That people always desire what is expensive and difficult to maintain.

MANGO MOODS
The lessons we can learn in 'Mango Moods' story is that we have to accept the destiny that God has set for us. Let us not
judge someone if our desire a wish unfulfilled. Perhaps there is wisdom why God
ordains us in such a way. As a mother-in-law, do not be too uptight with her daughter in law. Perhaps she not have a child at that time. Continue
to pray to God and God will show us His ways. It tells the story of Narayani amma who can not accept the fact that her daughter in law Chitra could not pregnant after eight years of marriage.
As a husband, he should be fair to his wife. Do not
remain silent only when something happens to her. While the husband should obey
a mother, but also he have be responsible of the wife and taken care of it. This can be seen on Chitra's husband who is Prasad. He always had chosen to keep his mum and not even once he favor for his wife.
Everyone's gonna
miss their families when staying away and that's what Chitra had to go through. It about so long that she never see her family. Chitra also have a best friend when she studies at college it was Jason and Usha. She invited Jason to come at her home but her mother-in-law not allow Jason to come at thier home. This is not fair to Chitra. She cannot do all the things.
Therefore, we should take care of our health. Especially to a mother who was pregnant. Must always go check-up the baby to make sure the mother and baby in good condition and healthy.
In my opinion, in this life there are many
things we have to undergo. No matter how difficult any challenge that we must
face, remember God is always there with us. Keep praying and be patient there
was a joy for us later.

THE NECKLACE
The lessons of this story is we have to accept the fate of our lives. Let we live in poorness as long as we live happily.
This story tells about a married couple who live in a modest family. Mathilde was Loisel wife. She was one of those pretty and charming girl born. But she just born in the family of artisans. Next she married a little clerk in the Ministry of Education. Her life is turned into a miserable life. She suffered from the poorness of her house. She always feeling herself born for every delicacy and luxury. But the dream is only a dream. She also had a rich friend, an old school friend.
One evening, her husband came to bring a invitation to a party. But Madame Loisel do not want to attend because she was ashamed not to
have clothes and beautiful jewels for the occasion. Loisel sympathize with her
and give four hundred francs to buy the preparations to the party. She use the money to buy jewels, but Loisel scolded. He says Madame Loisel better lend the jewels from her friend Madame Forestier. The next day, she went to Madame Forestier to lend jewels. He tried a variety of jewels belonging to Madame Forestier. Finally
he decided to borrow a superb diamond necklace.
Besides, do not act with gladness that we have because all that will not last forever.
The day of the party arrived. Madame Loisel was a success. She was the prettiest women present, elegent, graceful, smilling, and quite above herself with happiness. All the men stared at her and the Minister also noticed her. At the party, she danced madly, ecstaticaaly, drunk with pleasure, with no thought for anything, in the triump of her beauty, and in the pride of her success.
They left the party about four o'clock in the morning. No cab at there, at last they found on the quay one those old nightprowling carriages which are only to be seen in Paris after dark, as though they were ashamed of their shabbiness in the daylight.
Moreover, when we borrow things from other people we need to take care of it. Especially the things were prized and valuable items. If the item is lost we have to replace it back with the same item.
When they arrived at home, she took off the garments in which she had wrapped her shoulders, so as to see herself in all her glory before the mirror. But suddendly she uttered a cry. The necklace was no longer round her neck !
She told her husband about that and her husband started with astonishment. After that they searched in the folds of her dress, in the folds of the coat, in the pockets, everywhere. But they could not find it. Her husband go out to find the necklace and he had found nothing. He went to the police station, to the newspapers, to offer a reward, to the cab companies, everywhere that a ray of hope impelled him.
They have to pay back the diamond necklace that belonging to Madame Forestier in whatever ways. They went from jeweller to jeweller, searching for other necklace like the first. In the shop at the Palais-Royal they found a staring of diamonds which seemed to them exactly like the one they looking for. It was worth forty thousand francs. They were allowed to have it for thirty-six thousand.
They do an aggrement to pay that diamond. Every month notes had to be paid off, others renewed, time gained. Her husband worked in the evenings as putting straight a merchant's accounts, and often at night he did copying at twopence-halfpenney a page. And this life lasted ten years.
At the end of ten years everything was paid off, everything, the usurer's charges and the accumulation of superimposed interest.
Madame Loisel looked old now. She become like all the other strong, hard, coarse women of poor households.

TWELVE and NOT STUPID
This is my opinion on the story
"Twelve and not stupid". At the beginning of this story, I felt that Papa and Auntie May have an affair because when Papa invite Sasha from school, Auntie May along with Papa in the car. After that, Papa told Sasha for cheating her Mama by says she returned late from school because of a school activity.
Papa also told Sasha not to tell Mama about Auntie May. This is my first view about Papa. Papa teach his daughter to be lie at her mother.
This family is a very social family. Papa and Mama busy with work
out. Besides, they are also busy with their friends outside. Sasha is a small
girl who was 12 years old, she was a smart and quiet girl. Though Sasha was 12 years old, but she understands what is happening in her family. She never cheated with her mother, but she was puzzled why Papa told her to lie to her mother.
At the end of
the story, I understood that Auntie May actually was second wife to Yem. Yem is Papa older brother. They married without the knowledge of the first wife of Yem. Auntie May have a son named Kassim who was 10 years old. Yem was suppose obligations towards his son Kassim and his second wife Auntie May. This family is
so complicated. Should, as a husband, he should be responsible for the family
that he built and not be hands-off.
As a family, we should always be together in whatever situation. Solve every problem that happen together. No matter what happen always be together, love each other and do not keep a secret among the family. Be responsible with what we are doing and do not be hands-off.
